Art & Design
The estate will host an inaugural art and design collection bringing together some of Morocco’s most remarkable creators. The selection will offer a multifaceted perspective on the country — at once popular and scholarly, rural and contemporary, intimate and universal — in dialogue with the minimalist language at the heart of the Fondation CAB collections.
The collection is curated by Samy Ghiyati and Nicolas Nahab, internationally recognised art advisors and curators, both with backgrounds in the gallery world.
It will feature works by Yto Barrada, representing France at the Venice Biennale and included in more than twenty-five museum collections worldwide; Amina Agueznay, who will represent Morocco in its first national pavilion at the Venice Biennale; and Mbarek Bouhchichi, whose work was recently acquired by the Centre Pompidou.
An exceptional site-specific work by Latifa Echakhch has also been commissioned for the property’s swimming pool.
The furniture collection brings together contemporary pieces by emerging designers of Moroccan origin, including Hall Haus, alongside rare historic works, such as a set of bar stools designed in the 1950s by Mathieu Matégot for Tit Mellil Airport in Casablanca.
